STUDIO

ABOUT

Whether meandering the alleyways of Tokyo, exploring the grandeur of Versailles, studying minimalism in a Scandinavian museum, or watching sunlight bounce off the mountains in her native Colorado, Momo Wong cultivates her design vision through a deep connection to history, culture, and sense of place. Appreciating both the beauty and functionality in details big and small, Momo’s point of view is guided by exploring the vastly different ways people live happily throughout the world, despite imperfection, and thoughtfully applying these lessons to her projects.

Since launching her full-service design firm in 2017, Momo Wong’s work has focused on maximizing the ways homes can nurture her clients, creating sanctuaries that simultaneously honor their memories and provide the groundwork for their futures.  Momo Wong Design does not represent a specific genre or trend, but rather draws from and builds upon a feeling and narrative surrounding the unique individuals who live in the space. Like one of Momo’s treasured kimonos, her projects are timeless, tailored, inspired, and intentional, layered with statement-making patterns, textures, and colorways to highlight her clients’ distinct passions and personalities. Momo Wong Design portfolio spans Colorado, California, and beyond, and includes Japandi-inspired new builds, charming Craftsman cottages, whimsical Victorian gems, and rustic ranch lodges.

In the spirit of celebrating character and preserving history, Momo’s family residence is a 1915 Craftsman in Denver, Colorado which they lovingly restored with materials true to the era, such as marble counters and tile, oak floors, painted crown molding, and fanciful wallpaper. Momo refuels her creativity while adventuring outdoors, skiing, cooking, gardening, traveling, and spending time with her family.

With extensive experience working in finance at Lehman Brothers and honing her artistic eye in Design School at The Art Institute (Denver, CO) and subsequent architecture firms, Momo Wong offers a holistic approach to design that puts equal emphasis on form, function, and budget. As no two projects are alike, Momo Wong Design capabilities are customized to fit each client’s specific needs.
